Submarine

Not posted for a while, but i have been ill so you will have to forgive me.  Spent days under my duvet watching films and this was definitely the highlight of my bed ridden film fest.  Submarine, by Richard Ayoade, based on the novel by Joe Dunthorne.  The story is set in Wales and follows a young boy as he falls in love and deals with his parents relationship.  Throughout the film, you really feel as if you are inside the story and are transported through the TV screen.  It had a very 'Wes Anderson' feel to it which i loved and i still can't believe it was directed by the guy in 'The IT Crowd' (i HATE that tv show!).  But it really is a must see.  The soundtrack was all by Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys which completely fitted to the mood of the film.  After watching this film you will be lusting after a duffle coat for a few hours, trust me!
